Creating a Variable and Assigning to a Input / Radio button

I am working on the variance analysis automation.

I have done that perfectly. Now I am making it more automated.

My issue is listed below:-

I wanted the user to select Month and year in Current period and Comparison period on their own.

I have given all Calculations expression in main straight table as referring to two variables vBase and vComparison.

vbase meant as Base period or current period

vComparison meant as Comparison period

I want to assign Year & Months to these variables.

It should be like, the user should be able to choose the year & month in base and comparison period they wanted.
