BoxPlot Chart Issue

Hi Guys,

I want to create a box plot chart but I am facing some difficulty. I have attached excel sheet and the proposed result set. The excel sheet has three columns

AverageDays , Year, Month -Year

The Month- Year column will be on x axis or we can say it will come in dimensions. Average Days will be on y axis... then I need to show each month the average days... Please review the screenshots.

PFA one possible solution...based on your data provided. I included expressions for outliers but they are disabled.

Dear John,

many thanks for your reply. Silly me I did a slight mistake in uploading the datasheet. I have another column called referrals.. The x axis will be same like month-year and the average days will be on y axis but referrals data will be in box plots. I have uploaded the latest dataset. Can you please check now ? many thanks for your help

I don't see how you can create a single box plot with both Referrals and AverageDays on the y-axis, or even why you would even try. But, just replace the AverageDays name with Referrals in each expression.

Thanks John.. the concept is like on y axis we have average days that is fine but we need to see total number of refferals in box plot. like in my dataset the total numbers of referrals in April 2017 are 29 and in May 2017 are 94.....

So each month is a box plot with total number of referrals... I hope you understand my point ..

Okay, like this? I just added another expression, Sum(Referrals), then adjusted formatting of it. BTW, I turned on both Values on Data Points and Text on Axis for this new expression. Use your preference here.
