p() and max()

How do I select only the select month + dec from previous years? I tried but it didnt work

I am getting all Decembers but missing current select month

,Period={'=$(=max(Period))'}

,Period*=P({1<MONTH={$(=12)}>}Period)

,STATUS_CODE={'ACTIVE'}

,REG_TEMP={'REG'}
