This is a theoretical question.

Is it possible to pass through a selection in one QlikView model to another QlikView model?

For example: if a QlikView model selection of a cost centre were made in a summary financial model, could this be passed to a detailed model, assuming the models are on the same server and accessible by a user?

Ideas of how to do nthis would be gratefully received, but at this stage I just wanted to know whether it seems theoretically possible.

Thanks in advance.

Simon

Hi Simon,

You can do that with the button object and actions.

New Object --> Button --> Actions --> Add --> External --> Open QlikView Document --> Transfer State / Apply State on top of current.

To do this, your field in both documents must have the same alias
