=count({$< [Cost Transaction Date] = {"<=$(=date('2017-11-30','MM/DD/YYYY'))>=$(=date('2017-11-01','MM/DD/YYYY'))"},

[Operation Code] = {'a','b'},

LinkId = {'OPSJ'}

>}[Cost Transaction )

The program above returns 333 rows of data

Count({$< [Cost Transaction Date] = {"<=$(=date('2017-11-30','MM/DD/YYYY'))>=$(=date('2017-11-01','MM/DD/YYYY'))"}

Aggr(sum({$< [Cost Transaction Date] = {"<=$(=date('2017-11-30','MM/DD/YYYY'))>=$(=date('2017-11-01','MM/DD/YYYY'))"},

[Operation Code] = {'a','b'},

>}[Cost Transaction ]) , (job code))

The program above returns 353 rows of data. So basically those 2 program are very 'similar' . What I dont understand is why the 2nd program returns 353 rows.

You have not made any selection in Operation Code, have you?

I dont think that 's the problem.
