Hi All,

Can any one tell me please how to test qlikview dashboard?

Generally, the initial testing is done by manually looking at the results and comparing to an expected results. Once a baseline is established future testing can be automated using a tool like QV Scalability Tools (QV10,QV11,QV12) or Selenium.

These days I am about to start the Automated Web Based Testing of the Qlik reports/dashboards using Selenium. Can you please guide/redirect me where and how to start those?

P.S - The other testing methods are already carried out extensively using JMeter, Document Analyzer, Governance Dashboard and database level unit/data testing.

There are multiple ways to do it, as suggested by Rob.

For Data/Unit Testing - you can query in source databases to fetch results and compare with results in reports.

For Performance/System testing, a lot other tools are available - Document Analyzer (QVW), Governance Dashboard (QVW) , JMeter, Load Runner etc.

Hi Dicky,

I haven't setup Selenium for testing myself, but I know others have. Perhaps someone will chime in.

You can use the Regression Test feature of the QV Scalability tool to do quality testing as well. It's pretty easy to set up. Are you going to Qonnections this year? I'l be doing a session on automated testing and will demonstrate how to set up and use the tools.
