Hi All,

In the attached test QWV, I've started building application control for Salesman and Geography.

I'm trying to add a Role to an application to control the visibility of sheets. I've checked a couple of links but I can't seem to get it.

Please point me in the right direction, I have a ROLE associated with the User ID it is either ALL or SP.

USER ID - ADMIN PASSWORD ADMIN is ALL

USER ID - JOHN PASWORD JOHN is SP

Hi Richard,

I think that you have to create another island table in your script with ROLE values for manage them into the user aplication, like you did with SP and GEO

I'd like to have a better idea of the layout of your app, such as how many sheets do you plan on displaying, which will show/hide depending on the role, etc.

Hi,

According to me u have to create the sheet matrix in excel file with userid in one table. It becomes very useful to control the visibility of sheet1.

Hi D,

There are around 40 sales reps and four sales managers. While the application has appox 5 sheets that are common to both roles (Rep/Manager) the dashboards for reps and managers are different. The reps see their performance reduced to only their territory. The managers see the performance of the reps under their control. Besides the 5 in common, each group would see approx. 4 sheets that are unique to the group they are in. An additional wrinkle involves the CEO who wants a top level view exclusive to him and the CFO. (1 dashboard) That would be acheived by assigning them to a separate group. (EXEC).

ID is A,B,C,D no need of password.

A- Both SHeets

B- Sheet1

C- Sheet2

D- None

Please refer the Sheet Property -->> General -->> Show Sheet -->> Condition
