Is there a way a use could copy all the selections in one state and apply it to another comparative state at the push of a button?

Say, a lot of selections had been made and they wanted that same dataset with a slight tweak, but didn't want to select all the selections again.

you are maybe talking about bookmarks and alternate state ?

because from what i know, you make the alternate state with the selection you made on the selection objects (so you can see your selections), but with the bookmarks, after saving it, you don't see anymore the selections made inside it..

Maybe i didn't understand ?
