Selected Value should pass to Variable

Hi All,

I have an Qlik Sense App. where I have a variable on Date field and a filter on date field.

I want to value is passing from variable to Filter, however it is not passing from Filter to Variable.

Variable in First Page:

Filter on second page:

The app by default should show for current date. But if I select any date from filter in second page it is not reflecting to first page.

I am attaching the app.

Could anyone please help out to resolve this.

From second Sheet if you select any other date from Filter is it reflecting on th First Page? Is variable getting changed?

No.. I am not getting.

I am selecting 10/10/2017 from filter

However in the first page it is still showing 10/16/2017

Can you please check once more.

May be this in sheet 1 as expression

=Max(TOTAL Date(Date#(Z_DATE,'YYYYMMDD'),'M/D/YYYY'))

There is an extension for Variable.

So I want this to affect this Variable box as well as the Chart.

Try to save that expression in variable and see, because i am not having the extension over my environment.

You Date field is set as a Variable, which is set as STATIC. vDATE = 10/16/2017. You have to link it to your filter

Change the Variable to your vDATE1 and remember to evaluate your expression: $(vDATE1)

Thanks Hans,

It is showing the correct date. But the problem is if you change the date from the extension variable , it is not going to affect the chart.

This is the reason we used the extension.

Could you please check once and advise accordingly.

I'm not sure how that could be obtained, as I don't know the extension you are using. Somehow you need to write the field value to a variable.
