Issue with Server objects

Kindly note that Server objects were deleted in the management console for a certain dashboard.

There should be a way to retrieve these server objects and let the users use them again on the access point?

Please note that we have a backup already for the whole QLIKTECK folder.

On your QlikView server, visit the Document root (where your published documents are residing). In that folder, the document with the deleted Server objects should have a file called 'DocumentName.qvw.Shared'. Restore that file from your backups. Make sure you restore a copy from before the time that the accident happened.

IMPORTANT: all server objects created for this document since the time of the backup will be lost forever. You're effectively rolling back your Server Objects situation for this document. So it's important to select a backup that is close to the time of the mishap.

Can you please specify how to access the document root?

we took a backup of the QLIKTECH folder, does this help us?

I don' know what you mean by "QLIKTECH" folder.

The Shared files that contain server objects are located in the same directory as your published documents. If you did a standard QlikView Server installation and you didn't change the Document Root in QMC and you don't publish to Mounted Folders, then that subdirectory is still

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Documents\

Is that the QLIKTECH folder you made backups of?
