Linking a variable to a chart

Hello everyone,

I'm relatively new to qlikview, and I have the following question:

I have the following data:

age groups: 15-19; 20-24;25-29;30-34;35-39:40-44:45-49, they all have data according to countries and continent; for instance:

continent country 15-19 20-24 25-29 30-34 35-39 40-44 45-49

Europe France 20 30 35 40 38 33 28

With ofcourse different countries and alot more values.

I use different buttons linked to age groups [15-19]; [20-24] and so on.

Now my question is, how can I link Gauge Charts to somekind of variable in order to change values when I press the different buttons?

The first chart shows the average for the age group, the second one will show the minimum in this group, the third one should show the maximum.

I have tried in the Button Properties - Actions - set variable and then variable "vAge" and value "age group 15-19"

In the chart expression definition I used "vAge" but this doesn't seem to show any results.

Thanks in advance, I hope my problem is a bit understandable
