There is a Chart in which i have a runing total ....

what i want is a new calculated dimension or a a field which should be named a s Carryfirward when i select say for example March-2016 then there shoulb be a values for carryforward from previous values of Feb-2016..

In the chart i have openstatus closed status and Rolling total ... when i male current selcetions the prvious month Rolling total should add to current rollling total and display ...

Please someone help me on this ..

I think do you want maintain the value of RunningTotal (is the acumulated column)

Why you don't make the expresion inside the script?

P.D. I'm trying to do it with Set Analysis, but I think is not possible. I tried this (Set Analysis and RangeSum | Qlik Community)

What value would that new column for previous year months show when you select Mar 2016?

HI Sunny ,

If you look at the straight table there something called Rollling Total..

Basically will be selecting year for exampl if i select 2016-Dec then it will show the Rollintotal from Dec back to 11 months that is Jan till Dec....

And i want to display the Previous month totals also ..........That is carry forwarding

Hi sunny

For example if iam selecting Mar-2016 , then the filed should show the value of Sum(open)- sum(close ) for the month of Feb-2016 and this shoul be carry out and added to Rolling total that is Mar-2016

And this is how it should work for the selction ....

I want to display within the chart and add dimension column which shoul show a previous month rolling ttal which should act a s a carry forward

Hi Sunny ,

please select Feb-2014

and you can see in the chart that the rolling total is -13 ,

and there should be a clumn which should display -18 for Jan-2014 ( one month before the current month selection )

and this -18 should add up with the Rollling total of current sellected monthyear .(-18 + -13 )

Hi Sunny this is ok ...

I selected 3-Medium under Severity then it shows -13 ..

now what u have selected is also fine
