Concurrent users on Small Business Edition

Hi all

We've recently migrated to QV 12 server Small Business Edition. I have a query as to how many maximum concurrent users can access the local access point at the same time. Kindly provide explanations to the same.

AFAIK the small business server supports a max. of 25 NamedCAL and 100 DocumentCAL and all of them could be access in concurrent.

What is the advisable no. for optimum performance of the dashboard (in terms of loading)? Size of my qlikview document is 10 MB.

It will depend on many factors ow many users could be access in concurrent by a sufficient user experience. Beside the app-size (10 MB compressed or uncompressed ?) the number and kind of objects and calculations are important and of course how much resources are available on the server-side. But I assume that you won't have any performance issues with just this small single application especially because it's rather unlikely that all of them will access on the same time.

Thanks for your reply, actually we need to make a decision as to how many NAME CALS must be deployed. Kindly assume that the application is heavy in terms of objects and calculations. Also we would be using 3-4 developers working on the server side.

Even if a lot more informations are available about your environment and the possible usage of the server and all applications it's really difficult to estimate how much resources will be needed and aren't there enough on which point are restrictions needed to guarantee a stable solution.

Recommended is that QlikView has it's own server - no sharing with any other services and that no one else worked parallel on the server. Any developing happens on other machines.
