QVD got corrupted

Hi All,

One of my projects qvd's got corrupted. We are performing incremental load to generate QVD's. It's almost size of 85MB and suddenly it got corrupted. Is there anyway to restore the qvd.

Restore a trusted copy from backup, and rerun the incremental load to add all recent data.

If you don't have the backup then you have to re create them again that is the only way

You can try to open the application without data and do a incremental load from there.

It happened with me a month ago and this helped.

It is very difficult if not altogether impossible to patch a corrupted QVD, let alone more than one.

Your next best option - as many others have already suggested - is to recreate your QVDs from scratch. Avinash R already suggested as much by going back to your data sources. Usually this can be accomplished by either following Pakalapati Sai Kumar's instructions (best when your reload schedule uses some kind of Partial Reload) or by moving all QVDs out of the way to a safe place, and restarting your QVD Generators (if you've got any) or reloading your initial documents.

Most business QlikView setups have some kind of "initial data load" feature, to get started when no initial QVDs exist yet. Hopefully you can recreate that situation in an easy way.
