Hi,

Master calendar is a dimensional table and date join with the fact table (OrderDate, Purchase date etc)

we can use same Calendar for multiple Fact table dates & also it's used analyse non-captured fact table date

master calendar very is useful for create time series, Period rolling, comparative analysis

Hi,

In QlikView, many times we need to create a calendar reference object, which can be linked to any data set present in QlikView's memory. For example, you have a table that captures the sales amount and sales date but does not store the weekday or quarter, which corresponds to that date. In such a scenario, we create a Master Calendar which will supply the additional date fields like Quarter, Day etc. as required by any data set.

In any Dashboard,Time is an important factor. Users will always be interested in viewing the data by time period and also will be interested in performing comparitive analysis between 2 time periods.

How to create calendar to show daily sales compare to previous sale,if you don't have previous data ?

If you dont have previous data you can show dates but values will be null
