Select excluded values with action button

Dear community,

I would like to create an action button that selects all values except for a single one (or multiple ones).

Something like Isnot (xy) but as an action.

I've already noticed the 'Select excluded' option, I can't get it to work for me though.

Here is a sample:

I want to be able to select all values from column 1 that are not in scope Q2.

Okay I'll have to figure out how the function works but it does exactly what I wanted to do.

I also wouldn't have figured it out myself.
