google maps - map not displaying

Hi all,

I have set up a google maps object following the qlikview downloadable tutorial.

However the map image is not displaying. Ive got an API key which ive entered. The scatter dots seem to have plotted ok but there is no map image behind.

Any ideas?

Maybe you have a proxy which prevents QV to access GoogleMaps directly.

You can access google Maps in the file menu\open url : maps.google.com first to use the application.

Just wanted to make sure if you passed on the link to the image in the 'Colors' tab of settings??

No haven't done this step. Nothing in the demo document about doing this I don't think.

Can you please tell me what I need to put in there.

Did you manage to display the background maps in QV v8.5 in the end?

only found the following QV doc able to display a background map on my mighty v8.5:
