Hi,

I'm trying to create user sorting buttons for 2-dim pivot table.

here attached an example for table. I want the option to sort by a / b / c and by the dates.

Have you any ideas how to do it? it will be very helpful!

Hi,

Just go to sort tab under Properties and specify different sorting for the dimensions.

1. for a,b,c specify text sorting a to z

2. for dates specify numeric sorting ascending.

If you are looking forward to create user buttons where you can click and change the sorting then you will have to write macro.

look in the API Guide it contains the way how you can access and modify the chart properties using macro

Thanks for the quick response.

First, the a,b,c fields are expressions and not dimensions so I cannot sort them by the QV UI.

Second, I know how to sort 1-dim table by macro buttons but not 2-dim table.
