Sorting order Problem

Hello all!

I have a problem in the sorting order. I am trying to sort the sales of my qv report fron the highest value to the lowest, fisrt by store, then by floor no, but at the end the the sales are sorted and by Vendor but i dont want that to happen! I am attaching the qv file

Is Sales column Number field?

Dear Kyparisia,

Your Sales field must be at the top of other fields in Sort tab after that apply your sort order.

Here is the way please follow

1. Right Click on your Object > Properties > Tab "Sort" > Sort Priority > Select Your Field > Click on Button "Promote" until or unless your field does not reach at the top of other fields > Mark/checked Checkbox and select Ascending/Descending value from Drop Down box in "Sort by" section > Apply > OK.

Goodmorning!

As you can see i have tried all the possible ways of sorting but it is still wrong. i explain above the sorting order i want, i demote the Vendor and the is nothing marked to it but it still affect my result. Can you see the qv report i have attached?

Goodmorning Sunny!

First i want to be sorted by Store name, then by Floor no from lowest to highest and then by Sales (desending order).

As you can see in my qv example_1 the Vendor has nothing marked but it still affect my Sales. I want to be sorted from the highest value to lowest and only the floor no to affect them.

But as you can see in the attacment you send me the Sales are not sorted from highest to lowest value...

Please note, the priority of the Sales is less than other columns and if I am not mistaken and converted your UI sorted order in proper form then the script look like given below,

Temp:

LOAD Store,

[Floor No],

Floor,

Vendor,

Brand,

Sales

FROM

Data File.xls

(biff, embedded labels, table is [Sheet1$]);

NoConcatenate

[Sorted Table]:

LOAD

Resident Temp

Order By Store asc, [Floor No] asc, Floor asc, Sales desc;

DROP Table Temp;
