New Computer, Qlikview behaves differently

Hi, I just got a new computer. On old laptop I had Qlikview 11 I only started to use Qlikview this year and this is only version I ever used.

On my new laptop I installed Qlikview 12 and opened my application.

I have a straight table I can no longer sort properly because I have columns that are not shown using the 'Presentation' tab in the chart properties. If for a given column I select 'Hide Column', this 'breaks' the sorting. Now when I try to sort on my expression, the table is sorted based on the column to the right of the column I double clicked to sort.

Now, if I hide another dimension this behaviour continues - If i double click a column to sort, now the table is sorted by the column 2 over to the right.....

Any ideas?

When I installed Qlikview 11 on the new PC (I am able to install both versions 'side by side') the chart(s) I am having this problem with are entirely missing from the container!!!

I am dying here..
