Hi,

We are using Qlikivew for last 2 years. we also have several applications developed are in use. The configuration of the server is as under

Processor : Intel Xeon cpu E5-4603, @ 2.00 GHz (4 processors)

RAM : 128 GB

64 bit Operating system, x64 based processor (Windows server 2012 standard)

Disk RAID : 10

Space on Disk D:\(Usable) more than 1 TB

Space on Disk C:\(Usable) more than 254 GB

The problem we are facing is that, whenever any task is running and if any end user try to access the application, server gets slowed and on checking the server task manger, we found that some time,CPU Utilization gets more thatn 90% and at some time the Memory (RAM) utilization is more than 90% and server stops working.

Can anyone please suggest the solution, or can any please let us understand how to limit the utilization of RAM/CPU

Regards

Rahul

Hello Rahul,

If I understand your issue correctly, whenever your users interact with a QVW on AccessPoint while reload tasks are running, you are experiencing high memory and CPU utilization? If so, that looks to be working as designed. QlikView will use as much RAM as it is allowed. If you haven't watched this webinar: QlikView Memory Management, it explains QlikView memory consumption very well. Seems like you need to either add more system RAM or consider moving QlikView Distribution Service (Publisher) to its own server.

Hope this helps

- Chip
