what is the uses of extension object and

how can I use it in qlikview

Extensions are used as an out of box option in Qlikview.

Ex: If you want to build a geographical map

If you want to embed a video file within qlikview etc....

Qlikview extensions only work in web view enabled mode but it will always work in Qlik access point using Ajax or IE plugin.

To use an extension you need to download the file available, you can get it from Qlik Branch or How people build software · GitHub.

Once you download the extension for qlikview, you unzip it and place it in your extensions folder.

Local system location: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\QlikTech\QlikView\Extensions\Objects

Server location: % ProgramData% \ QlikTech \ QlikViewServer \ Extensions \ Objects.

Once you place it, you'll be able to view available extension when you enable webview mode.

You'll not find many extensions for Qlikview but there are many for Qlik Sense.
