Displaying a web-site hit counter

I have a text object which holds a number. I am wondering if it is possible to display this number like a web-site visitor counter similar to the one displayed in the attachment?

You can use Random script like Rowno()

maybe one solution could be to use a horizontal straight table with some formatting:

or using another font to simulate the jitter:

It looks a lot like the LED Gauge chart. Have you tried that?
