task failed in qmc

Hi,

I created the task in qmc which has failed however I am able to reload qvw manually without error, below is the error mentioned in log file

error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers, ErrorMsg: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

Hi,

There is issue while extracting from database.

Please let us know how you are connecting to database and if it is connecting through ODBC, heve you created datasource?

QVW is connected to oracle database by using ODBC driver and DSN is also created, I am able to manually reload the qvw but task is failing while running in qmc

Strange, what error you are facing. Can I have the ligfile of that failed file.

Hi,

have you set up the ODBC Connection from Your QMC server? Is Your desktop and QMC placed on the same server?

If not, Add the ODBC Connection on QMC server, if its on the same, be sure that the QMC server account have read Access to the database.

have you installed the driver in SERVER ?? have you create the ODBC connection with the same name in the server ??

Hi,

Did you created ODBC in the QMC server? I think that is the issue, you have to create the ODBC in server also.

Hello ,

Please ensure DSN should have been created in the QMC server also as you done in your local server where you have installed your qlikview client.

Try to install the oracle client in your server to solve this, or install Qlik ODBC Connector and change your connection mode.
