Hello,

I need to know how to setup the account mail into QV.

Fore example ; I have an account myaccount@mycompany.com

in the sheet mail setup how I setp the field of this sheet.

Does exist an example?

Hi,

You need to configure the mail server in the System, Setup, Mail Server, and in the right pane "General". Try sending a test email to the address you can specify there to check everything is going right. That should work.

Alerts will not be triggered on AJAX clients. In the Windows clients (Desktop or Plugin) make sure you have configured the client mail server as well (Settings menu, User Preferences, Mail)

But i am new to qlikview dont know how to configure .... i am using my laptop just trying to send mail to my gmail account from my company account can you help me for that ....

Did you get to the Mail preferences? If so, do you have your username, password, mail server and so? I cannot figure them, and you probably can take them from your email client software (Outlook, Thunderbird...). Those are the fields you need to set up in order to get the mail sent. It's not about QlikView, rather than your company's email server address and users. How far did you get?

If we set server address to smtp.gmail.com port 465 what Authentication Method should be used? There's Auth Login, CRAM MD5 etc. but none seems to translate directly to gmail documentation. Does anyone actually have it working for either Exchange, Gmail, or Yahoo? if so can you send a working configuration?

Hi,

Neither QlikView Server nor QlikView Desktop allow to use SSL or TLS in the mail server configuration, so you will need to use any other provider that allows non ciphered connections.

You should set the appropriated filed in User preference ----> mail like the screen shot.

you should ask your smtp server address from your ISP. or if you config the outlook you can see the smtp server in your outlook setting.
