Importing data from excel where dimension/data is in a row NOT column format

Is there any way to import data from an Excel sheet where the dimension/data is in a row not column format i.e.

Dimension is date but the dates go along the row as opposed to down in a colum

Date 01/01/2010 08/01/2010 15/01/2010 ....... 26/04/2010

Value 22 30 17 ........ 35

With the dimension/data in this format every time there is a new weeks data then there will be a new column.

I am a relatively new user to Qlikview so am using the File Wizard to initially create the script.

Hi Cameron,

The solution to your problem is using a cross table... Plese do go through the reference manual for a solution. Please search for Cross Tables in the manual and go through the topic. reading this will solve your problem.

hi cameron,

while loading your excel file through table files wizard in edit script dialogue,click on the next button followed by enable transformation step.Then in the transform file wizard ,click on rotate and select transpose or left as per ur requirement.

Hi,

Use the Crosstable function Available in QlikView ..

if possible try to attach the sample file so that we will also try to import that file incase if u r not getting the result..

Wow, Crosstables have solved a problem I thought was going to be either impossible or a great deal of work, thankyou for pointing me in their direction!
