Hi,

We have three servers LIVE, DR and TEST.

In case there is problem with our LIVE box i.e. server goes down, we currently switch the DNS entry to point to the DR server, we can do this because the same Tasks and Document reloads are running the same time as LIVE; the only thing the users will not see are the bookmarks as I do not have a process to copy the SHARED files across for each Document.

Due to recent performance issues (Access Point showing the error message No Server), I am thinking of turning off the services on DR and only turning them back on if the LIVE Server goes down, it will mean the QVD's and Apps will not be up to date until the relevant tasks have finished their schedule run.

I could change the scripts on LIVE and make it store the QVD's to DR as well LIVE or schedule a windows batch program which would copy the QVD's from LIVE to DR every hour or so? I'm not sure what the best practice is and wanted to know what the experts suggest?

Thanks
