Hi,

I have a data from 2015 and its about the purchases from different market area and regions. Please let me know how to design and how to show the entire data using qlikview.

Ex total by market area,

total by region,

year,

month,

comparisons

% change

Have a look at different Qlikview Sample/Demo apps and try and pick up a few things from there.

Sample File "Data Visualizaton" in Qlikview Start Page provides examples of charts and when to use them.

Is my doubt all fields need to show in one chart or ?

can you elaborate your question?

Based on my understand,

You can use the pivot table of your data mention in above.

i.e dimension:

year,

month

expression :

total value by market area

total value by region

comparions% change using set analysis

And I am having doubt on comparisons % change -- how?

Thanks for the reply.

I listed out various fields available in my data. I need to provide a dashboard where I need to use maximum ways to describe the data using qlikview

Its not like we need to show all the variable in one chart.In simple I need to describe the data to business people.

In this, they are having types of dashboard like "Healthcare","Life sciences".All the dashboard are not available to download, only some dashboard which is available under "New To Qlikview " is possible.

i have data from 2015 Jan. I want to show YTD of Jan 16 and MTD of Sep16.

i tried set analysis to arrive this. but when i click on some other month/year values are changing

i dont know how to fix it even if i change the filter

Hi Dinesh,

In ur expression, u r calculating values for max year. Then it will take

only one single value right.

Instead of that we can use dates from and to till today.

Try this.Put ur date field in place of date.

Sum({<year=, date ={">=$(=num(yearstart(MAX

(date))))<=$(=max(date))"}>}Volume )

I want to show the top 5 regions based on volumes, but for the year or month which i selected.

If all filters are removed, then it should show the current year and month top 5

EX:

if i select 2015, then based on the 2015 volume rank has to be given.If nothing is selected then it should consider 2016

Sorry for the late reply.

For this scenario,

There is an option to take currently selected value in Qlikview and make a condition as below sample example.

=if (match(GetFieldSelections(FiscalYear),FiscalYear),1,0)

It displays the value 1 or 0 when you selected fiscal year then it equal to a fiscal year(field) then 1 else 0.

In this way you can write a condition , when you selected fiscal year then equal to date year(field) then take the selected year or else max year.This condition should be written in expression level.

I hope it would be helpful.
