Not that I know of. However, as the map is courtousy of Google, and is essentially regenerated as a URL after you interact with it, you may be able to get another link that shows a corresponding Zoom In/ Zoom out widget.

A look though Google's API guide may yield something interesting.

Jonathan

I would like to crete a map of the uk split by our geographical areas but don't really know where to start.

Idea would be that the user would click on an area which in turn would filter the various charts and pivot tables within the report.

I have looked about the various shared examples but would appreciate some guidance on the process that I should go through.

For example, I believe that I would have to build a table with our geographical areas latitude and longitude - where would I find this information.

I would like my map to be colour coded so say Scotland would be shaded blue, east England green, west England brown and Wales red (for example) - what is the best way to do this?

Any guidance greatly appreciated...

Hi Paul,

Thanks to you, I spent one hour, to learn the UK geography. lol

">

Please find a mini application which display some datas.

I found out in the web a database with the coordinate of each postcode, and the link with local & region area. I'm not sure these data are 100% exhaustive & accurate. But it's just to show you how we can use them. I also generated random sales for each postcode.

The apps displays the sale for each postcode (bubble size), the local area or postcode (color of the bubble).

Hope it will help you

Jean-Jacques

The bubble colours in this example are taken from the Colours sheet of the Chart properties.

Bubble colours can also be set on the Background colour of the Bubble size expression (the third of three expressons), reached by expanding the symbol alongside the expression.

Jonathan
