Hi Patricia.

Would you be able to post a small application that illustrates this issue. It's best if you can use an inline load with a small sample data set.

John.

Hello all,

The last weeks I made my first qlikview application and I think I succeeded. It is a questionnaire application based on weighted average and targets.

Now we want to load more data into the application which source is an access database. The data deliverer says that it is not possible to load 2 years of data in the access database, so he is going to deliver flat files.

So, to give him the requirements about the layout of the flat files, I am trying to set up the same application based on flat files. So I exported data from the access database into flat files. I made a copy of my qlikview application and changed the script based on the new flat files. Everything looks fine, even the tables and joins, except for 1 thing. A count on the questions. For each question i see the same figure. It looks like the application is counting the total number of questions instead of how many answers were given on a question. The strange thing is that I did not change anything in the formula. And all other formula (the results) are exactly the same as in the original qlikview application.

Please advice how this can be solved (and maybe an explanation how this can happen so I can understand)!

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Patricia

John, I did not thank you for your reply.

I had to make my own small set of data and i did not have time for that.

So, I choosed to wait for the extraction to see what happened. It was ok, no more double counts.

I think it has something to do with loading the data myself from an access database into a flat file.....

Patricia
