No SAP is not needed to work with QlikView. SAP is just another data source to QlikView (although a very large one), just like an Excel file or a SQL Server database.

The nice thing about QlikView is that it can do spectacular things with about any data you throw at it. And on top of that, QlikView is one of the few tools capable of integrating enterprise data that comes from a variety of sources.

If you want to learn how to master QlikView and its intricacies, you could start with example data like this: Sample data

Best,

Peter

hi,

Qlikview is a BI tool, and in qlikview we are extracting data from different databases, so SAP is one of them.

So for qlikview you do not need knowledge about SAP(ABAP).

ABAP is the advance business application programming which are using for making report in SAP.

Thanks

If you are going to be using SAP as a data source a knowledge of SAP tables and their relationships is important but not ABAP skills as the Qlikview extractor tool works very well
