Getting error while trying to connect to OLE DB from script editor.

Hi,

Am new to qlikview. I tried to connect to OLE DB from the script editor. I followed the below steps,

When you select File, Edit Script, Connect to OLE DB you will arrive at the Data Link Properties page, if the OLE DB provider is correctly installed. I chose Microsoft OLEDB Provider for SQL server under provider. Then in connection tab i gave localhost for server name. i clicked on use windowns NT integrate security. when i click on the dropdown for select database

Am facing the below error.

Microsoft datalink error

[DBNETLIB] ConnectionOpen(Connect().] SQL Server does not exist or access denied

Please help me to resolve this.

Hi,

Make sure the account you loggedin with have access to database.

Hi Ashfaq,

I ran the QV program as administrator. Still I didn't get access to the OLE DB. Anything else am missing here.
