Hi All

I have a user who makes adjustments to data that loads into a Qlikview app. I don't want the app or pdfs publishing to other users until all the data has been corrected, so I want to allow that user to publish the app & pdfs once they are happy that all adjustments have been made. What is the best way to do this?

can he acces to apps folder ?

do you have publisher ?

can you explain how normally you publish application to other users ?

do you use DMS or NTFS in application's authorisation ?

The user can have access to apps folder if required

Yes, we have publisher

Normally we would set up a scheduled task to publish apps or pdfs. The issue in this case is that the app should be published when the data is correct which is always at a different time every week

Can you explain what DMS and NTFS are?

You create a copy of the app and give exclusive rights to your power-user on it. He will work on it and when he is done, he will let you know and you will reload the main app.

Hi Adrian,

1) -->why don't you take a Screen sharing session using by Team viewer/Skype

2)-->Create a binary load file to him or else create a symantic layer to him

3)--> DMS and NTFS These are 2 different type of security system we are fallowing in QV server

QMC->System->Setup->Qlikview servers->select your server name->Security Tab->Authorization

NTFS:-Windows Control File Access

QMC:-Qlikview Controls File Access
