law give clik the button that should open up the document I get a dialog box to open the application

Please try this

Button--->Properties---->Action--->add--->external--->open qlikview document--->

give the path of another documents and name of that qvw name with .qvw

as D:\Sudeep Assignment 2\BUDGET assignment2.qvw
