Hey guys,

From the attached document, I am trying to determine the "Yearvolume" for gas and electra separately.I have tried these set analysis below

='electra volume : ' &num(sum({<EnergyType = {"gas"},EnergyTypeID = {54}>}YearVolume). But all I keep getting as the output is the sum total of all the different energy type for that particular locationID.

I don't what I am missing out. Any help with how the tables need to be connected and determining the expected results will be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Simon

Hi Simon,

your Set Analysis formula looks correct. Well, almost - you don't need the double quotes unless you need to search for a wildcard.

I think the problem is in your data set. The Meter Volumes are not linked to Energy Types because the ID field has two different names - SystemID in one table and EnergyTypeID in another table.

If you rename one of the two fields to match the other one, your data will be associated and everything will magically work.

cheers,

Oleg Troyansky

Upgrade your Qlik skills at the Masters Summit for Qlik - coming soon to Milan, Italy and Austin, TX!
