Hello everyone,as i am new to qlikview. Can anyone help me in explaining the aggr() function in simple terms?

A quote from the blog post AGGR...

When it is used, the AGGR function produces a virtual table, with one expression and grouped by one or more dimensions. The contents / result of this virtual table can then be used / aggregated by a further outer aggregation function(s).

Dear Sunil,

Aggr() function: Returns a set of values of expression calculated over dimensions.

Syntax

aggr ([ distinct | nodistinct ] [{set_expression}]expression {, dimension})

Examples

1. aggr( sum(Sales), Country )

2. aggr( nodistinct sum(Sales), Country )

3. aggr( sum(Sales), Country, Region )

4. count( aggr( sum(Sales), Country ))
