Hi,

I have encountered a problem whereby jobs running in QMC start failing. Upon further investigation, it fails after reload at the point where it is saving the app. It encounters a sharing violation.

There are no users in the application at the time. CPU and memory on the server are OK.

The only current solution to this is to restart the QlikView services.

Has anyone else encountered this or can offer an explanation ?

Regards,

Neil

Hi Neil

I had a similar problem recently, there was a Windows Scheduler job running that kept the QVW open, and of course is invisible to the QMC. Maybe worth checking that out?

Roger

Hi, Roger.

Thanks for getting back to me. I hadn't considered that, although when I checked there was nothing I could see that would interfere with QlikView.

There isn't a pattern in terms of timing. Jobs run several times a day and every few weeks it locks up.

Cheers,

Neil

If you have, eventually you'll run out of memory and need to reboot.

Cheers

Roger
