open external document using a Qlikview object

Hi,

I need to open an external document like pdf or word document by clikcing a button from Qlikview sheet. I kept that document on Qlikview server.

Anybody has any idea if this is possible in Qlikview.

Hi Anand,

Firslty right click and select a button object . Under actions tab click on Add.

Under Action type select External and Action as Launch.

Then just fill the details as required for opening any of the external applications.

I am wondering the same thing. I'd love for our applications to have attached "user guides" that could be linked to from QV to a WORD document. Ideally, these files would just live on the server along with all the other .qvw files.

but can you do this from the QV Server? I'd love to have my documents link to "user guides" that are done in Word. Is this possible?
