Section access in for security implementation to prevent code, apps etc. In other way I would say for authentication and authorization of users it is used.

Access point is like a browser from where User access the application. On access point we may have multiple apps.

Section access is used for Authorization purpose. Access point is the website to access the QlikView application via different clients like QV plugins, AJAX, Mobile client.
