Hi,

Could you shortly explain meaning of fields in qvw.fields.tab or send a source when i will be able to check it ?

mainly I ma asking about field- totalcount, possiblecount, hasinfo, andmode

When you open table viewer you have option export structure. Using this options qv create 3 files - mapping, tables and fields and i don't have idea what columns from fields file mean.

Fields are nothing but its your column only..

Hi!

I have also tried browsing the web for some clarity on the contents of the "qvw.Fields.tab" file contents.

Basically, if you open Qlikview's table viewer and hit the "Export Structure" button, Qlikview will generate three files for you: Fields, Mappings and Tables. The last to are pretty straight forward to understand that the Fields file contains a lot of columns:

FieldName
DistinctOnly
Cardinal
TotalCount
PossibleCount
HasInfo
IsLocked
AlwaysOneSelected
AndMode
Tags

I would be very grateful if someone can explain the columns marked in bold above.
