Synthetic keys

Hi Guys,

I have two fields common in two tables.

1. ID

2. Date

I want to remove synthetic key and maintain relation.

load ID & Date as Key1,

ID,

Date

from table1

load ID & Date as Key1,ID as tID,

Date as tDate

from table2

Will this keep association?

If I select ID, will tDate work as Date field?

There's no need to remove this synthetic key: Synthetic Keys

Sometimes, but not always. Only for those records that are linked to records in the other table by the Key1 values.
