Not sure how to solve it. Issue with three tables.

Hi i'll try to explain this. For sure i've have still a lot to learn, but did my best and didn't got the solution. I've attached all the files of the example i've made.

there are 3 files:

INCICENTS

CHANGES

TASKS

Each ID have associated a SERVICE DESCRIPTION. But SOME TASKS don't. All TASKS have a asocciated CHANGE, and all the changes always have a SERVICE DESCRIPTION.

I'm trying to associate the TASK service description with the service description of it's change.

I cant get the service description and the location of the task from it's related change. can any one help pls??

I've tryied a lot of things, but none was successfull

I solved this specific problem for you using the "Mapping LOAD" and ApplyMap-function. I commented in the script to try to explain what I did. Hope this helps!

Can't see any other thing on it!

Hello,

My opinion is that the structure of database is not well defined and also how are the links between tables.

You can use Link table (see below) or the example for attached file.

what is use of link tables ,how to use it

I do not know if it is what you want.

First of all thanks for the answer, but also in your exemple:

a: changes are not listed

b. Incidents dont fill up alias neither location, based on the information on the SERVICE DESCRIPTION.

(seems it's more tricky than i thought) 😕
