Hi All,

I am looking to import data into Qlikview based on a user defined variable before the import takes place.

The steps for example should work as follows:

1. Import the "Client" table into a listbox

2. The user selects the client name for whom to create the model

3. The import continues importing the database tables using the variable set from the list box

The main need for this is because these models will be distributed to clients, so the model must be Client-Specific as we can't share all client data that lies in the database.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance

Hi Ane,

The best practice is to always load data to QVD without any restictions or filters. We can anyway implement section access based on their region and can restrict the data or even Publisher can help you to distribute the document with the restricted data.

Regards,

Sreeni
