QlikView11 problem

Dear Experts,

I have a problem to use QlikView 11. According to my company budget plan, we have to use QlikView personal edition. I downloaded QlikView 11 and installed it. There was no problem first time usage in QV11. But when I reopened my saved qvw, it couldn't open and showed that I have to purchase.Now, I am using QV9 at the moment. Let me know what is the problem to use QV11 and looking for a way to solve the problem. Hope to help me.

Was the saved application created by other 'QV desktop' version(QV11) and you opened it on another QV desktop(QV9)?

I don't think you're issue is related to QV11, it may happen also with QV9.

If your company already have Qlikview server and have Named CAL you can directly lease the license from Qlikview server.

If you are using qlikview personal edition you can't open your qvw file from other machine. So save all the qlikview script files into txt files. You always use same machine same account to open your own files.

Dear Krishna,

Yes, I did it because QV 11 can't open the saved qvw anymore and then I uninstalled QV11 and installed QV9. I opened all (Created with both QV11 & QV9) the qvw file in QV9. What do I need to do with that. Thanks for your help.

Provide the screenshots of the errors that pop up when you open the app with QV11 and QV9?

Dear dathu,

We can neglect the server side issue and opening at the other machine because I am using on the same machine. I opened the saved qvw made by QV11 on the same machine and it popped up the error like below.

"Your installation of QlikView has exceeded the maximum number of document recoveries allowed for a Personal Edition license."

The other fact is our company is not using the QV at the moment. Now I am using Qv9 and it can create a lot of qvws from that time to till now.

Any idea with this?

You cannot recover more than 4 times with QV personal edition.

only way is to upgrade.
