Hi,

Throughout the company I work for we use QlikView as a great tool for dataanalysis, of which management are extremely happy with. It is due to this happiness that there hasbeen an additional requirement come up - to create future predictions.

I was wondering has anyone implemented this into QlikView, or foundadditional products that would complement QlikView.

Our current implementation does a lot of calculating of different pricesbased on customers usage and their tariff through a nightly cycle with thefigures just displayed and summed within the display layer. What we would like to do is make thesecalculations dynamic, so that the factors of these calculations can be editedin real time, based on the user editing variables.

Has anyone done this with a large dataset of upwards on 50million records?

Many thanks for you feedback,

Paul

Hi Paul,

I am glad to know that everyone are happy with QlikView at your work. I have used 80 million plus transactional based QV application and it works fine. There are some charts which render with time delay. But overall I can't complain on the performance.

I have asked a question while I was a newbie with QV (Not too long ago - 5 months back), Which resulted in fantastic article on performance management. John, Miguel & Cheenu have contributed some great ideas for large QV applications. It has 19855 views so far and it really helped me to learn loads of techniques. Here is the link to the original post.

http://community.qlik.com/message/111454#111454

I hope this helps!

Cheers - DV
