Cannot open file, The system cannot find the path specified

Hi everyone

I am an BI intern new to qlikview and am stuck with the above mentioned query. I extracted the data from the zip file and provided the correct path while uploading the data, but am still getting the error "The system cannot find the path specified."

Can anyone suggest what to do? The file is already a qvw file.

Any guidance will be much appreciated.

hi,

u need to chek the same file name...and foldernames same as u mentioned in that path.. can u chk wit file path.exact location.

can u pot the screen shot fr that.?

The question is unclear. What exactly are you trying to do?

Are you trying to load a file in QlikView - if so, what is the format of the file, txt, xls?

or Are you trying to open a qvw file in QlikView?

Do you mean, when it asks me to save the file, i should mention the original name of the file?

Well am trying to open a file which has a qlikview symbol alongside it. If that means it is a qvw file, then yes am trying to open a qvw file.

wen u reload the file.... u need to hve the same data in u local pc....

wit the same location then only it wil open

That is exactly what i did. I extracted the filed from the source folder to the path from where the qvw files are to be loaded.

even then it is not working.

Thanks everyone. I got it right.

Solution (if incase someone else is stuck in the same situation)

I just copied the path to the folder where qlikview was searching for files and dumped the files there. CTRL E - reload files again. Confirm using CTRL T.

Hi Vinisha,

Try by following way.

First extract the data from Zip file and upload the data.Not from the Zip or rar Extension.
