I'm posting this here as this has been a problem for me for quite some time. There are other posts in Community Forums that helped me arrive at this solution, although based on how long it took me to find the answer, I thought I'd help people who also had difficulty finding the right solution.

The problem is: Excel does not preserve Percent formatting when a chart has been exported.

The solution is:

Open Chart properties

Go to the "Number" tab

Choose the expression you wish to format as a percentage (both in QlikView and Excel)

Change the number format Settings to "Integer"

Check the "Show in Percent (%)" box

Change the "Format Pattern" to be "#,##.#%"

Click OK to save these property changes

I have tested this both on QVS 9 SR7 and QV10 SR3, exporting to Excel 2007.
