Add shapefiles to GeoQlik

Hello,

I want to ask GeoQlik if I can add shapefiles to GeoQlik. If yes, how?

I saw some questions in Qlik community about this subject: How can I get the full version of GeoQlik map to be able to add shapefiles in QlikView?

It's been a while since I worked with GeoQlik so I don't remember everything but you definitely can add your own shapefile in GeoQlik and it's very easy to do so. There were limitations to the size of the file that sometimes could be a pain.

I am running blind here no access to GeoQlik and their online documentation is lacking. I looked at a GeoQlik Demo online http://qonnections.geoqlik.com/geoqlik/proxy/qvajaxzfc/opendoc.htm?document=3%20-%20Public%20Sector%20Emissions.qvw&host=QVS%40aslw0026&anonymous=true hoping it would spark something but I am drawing a blank. I may have an email from GeoQlik Support at home and will try and find it but I just reformatted that PC so it may take a little bit.

I just can't for the life of me remember but I do know I downloaded sensus information and created apps using those shapefiles. I remember it was easy once I figured it out. I think it's something on the server piece. So it's either on the server piece or the configuration tabs for the extension within the document.

Their avaiable documentation is lacking so I feel your pain.

If you have support send them an email, if you don't send one anyone saying you are thinking of purchasing and need some info. Meanwhile start poking around on the server components that's where I think you will find it.

I am so sorry I am just drawing a blank on it it's been less than a year. I will definitely search for emails from their support and see if I still have one with that answer.

At the moment. I am using GeoQlik Trial Version on my Qlikview desktop. can i add the shape file in my laptop , then view it out from my qlikview desktop?

Can you provide me a sample shape file?

GeoQlik Trial version will allow you to connect to our GeoQlik Server and its lot of geographic data.

You can contact us (contact@geoqlik.com) and we can demo and discuss a Test licence so that you can add your own Shapefiles. GeoQlik for QlikView installs easily on your laptop alongside your QlikView Desktop or your QlikView Server.
