How to start a project

Hello folks,

im learner of Qlikview.,

I got a simple project to do. I am in confusion, How to start the project?

Should i extract data using filters right away or should i Extract data and apply filters while data modeling.?

i am Confusing How to start project...

Can someone help me how to start a new project..!!

Hi venkysai‌

As you are new to QlikView I would suggest not to go by extract, transform and load process,

You have a simple project to do, so just start with extracting the data , transform it and build the application (UI) based on that

It will be helpful for you to have everything in one single application, once you get comfortable with the ETL process, I believe you will follow the process.

I got a simple project to do. I am in confusion, How to start the project? --u can fetch all ur necessary data into ur application first.

Should i extract data using filters right away or should i Extract data and apply filters while data modeling.? ---provide all the selections/filters possibility to the uses to select whichever data they need.

Hi venkat,

To aid in the initial discovery and understanding of my data and tables I created the Advanced Data Discovery Module which I use for almost every project. Maybe you find it helpful.
