Is it possible to convert Named CALs to Session CALs? Please help me out.

Hi,

to my knowledge it is not possible to convert one type of CAL into another. That would somewhat upset the entire marketing strategy of Qlik.

Can you tell us what is your requirement? Maybe then we can assist you.

We have recently bought the named licenses. But I want to change them to Session licenses. Is this possible?

Well, I guess you'll have to talk to your QlikView_partner that you bought them from. If I remember correctly, Session_CALs are a lot more expensive than Named_CALs, but I might be wrong there.

Hi,

It is not possible, you need to check with Qlik support or Partner for any changes in your licensing. It is not possible for us to do. Once they change they will share new LEF file then we need to update that.

Whilst it is not possible to simply change the function of a Cal from Named to Session, I am aware of some partners having the flexibility to swap a few as long as the monetary amount is the same.

Yes Gulliver, partners can do I think, but I think they too approach Qlik for this.
